Hey world!!
We are here today to talk about keeping our dear country clean and doing it with all carefulness to avoid endangering our lives and properties. I am going to give a short piece on what happen at the early hours of today in a village along Okene road Kogi state. It was an NNPC fuel tank which was conveying fuel from Abuja to Edo state, and on getting to the village, unknown to the driver that the villagers always try to burn down their waste at the end of every month in order to adhere to the sanitation committees rules on keeping the community clean to promote good health among the villagers. The driver noticed the fire at a distance very close to the fire and the car was on a great speed that cannot be easily stopped, before an eye blink the fuel tank caught fire which led to 28 persons lives lost,11 injured, houses and properties got burnt down instantly before the fire service agency could get to the scene for rescue. I am using this medium to urge the federal government to increase education of remote areas on disposal of waste, especially those settling close to the federal road sides where cars with sensitive materials passes on daily bases in order to increase safety in the country.
